Formerly known as Australian Vinyls, AVC Trading is Australia’s largest importer of PVC resin, processing additives, plasticisers and specialty elastomers, and other polymers to the Australian market. We have extensive experience in bringing a wide range of materials into Australia via sea freight from manufacturing plants across Asia for more than 20 years.  

In 2007, AVC Trading joined the Wesfarmers family as part of Wesfarmers’ Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers (WesCEF) division. This enabled us to expand the scope of our operation with the support of one of Australia’s largest, most successful, and most diversified companies.

The materials that we import from Asia are used in a wide range of applications across many different industries and include PVC resins, polymers, and additives that we import from Asia for our customers are used in the automotive, construction, packaging, mining, and defence industries. Some examples of consumer goods manufactured using AVC Trading products include tyres, gaskets, automotive hosing, floor coverings and food wrap.

To ensure that we supply high-quality products, we only source the raw materials from leading international suppliers. For all specialty products, our staff provides customers with information about technical, commercial, and storage and handling.

AVC Trading is a signatory to the Australian industry’s PVC Stewardship Program.

We import and distribute a range of specialty products and chemicals that we source from leading international chemical suppliers. AVC Trading supplies PVC processing additives, plasticisers, and specialty elastomers to the Australian market.

Due to our experience with the products, our close relationships with suppliers, and our expertise in freight trading, we have become the preferred supplier of PVC and Polyethylene resins, polymers, polymer additives for many large Australian companies.

We have developed close relationships with many leading global manufacturers, including Formosa Plastics Corporation (FPC), one of the largest manufacturers of PVC resin globally. It is because of our experience and relationships such as these that we have become the first port of call when Australian companies require PVC, polymers, and polymer additives.

As well as importing and trading in PVC resin, polymers, additives, plasticisers, and specialty elastomers, AVC Trading also helps clients in several other ways.

If requested, we can also provide technical advice to help our customers improve the health and safety of PVC processing and the conversion of resin into quality end products, as well as helping customers to advance their process efficiencies. AVC Trading maintains a laboratory equipped to conduct testing on PVC resins and customer end products produced using PVC resins.
